Is all data transit related to SupplierBase subject to encryption?
SupplierBase - Helpdesk
Updated
The supplier management platform uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt all traffic between the client’s web browser and the server. The certificate provider is GeoTrust Inc. and the certificate uses 256-bit encryption TLS 1.2. We use encryption for data in transit, data at rest and servers (file system) and backups.
By default the DBs are encrypted using the Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) technology by Microsoft. The encryption uses a database encryption key (DEK), which is stored in the database boot record. The DEK is a symmetric key secured by using a certificate stored in the master database of the server.
